Terms & Conditions
Last updated: June 3, 2026
Important: Fuel Pass IN is an authorised fuel rationing platform. Misuse — including sharing QR codes, registering false vehicles, or attempting to circumvent quota limits — is a violation of these terms and may result in account suspension or legal action.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Fuel Pass IN citizen or operator application, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use Fuel Pass IN.
2. Eligibility
Fuel Pass IN is available only to:
- Citizens who have been allocated a fuel quota under the applicable fuel rationing programme
- Authorised pump operators working at registered fuel stations
- Authorised administrators with system access
Registration with a false identity, false vehicle information, or on behalf of another person without authorisation is strictly prohibited.
3. Citizen Obligations
As a Fuel Pass IN citizen user, you agree to:
- Register only vehicles that are legally registered in your name or for which you have lawful authority
- Provide accurate vehicle details including registration number, category, and fuel type
- Not share, screenshot, or forward your QR pass to other individuals
- Not attempt to manipulate, forge, or tamper with QR codes or quota data
- Notify the authorities if your mobile number or account is compromised
- Use your allocated quota only for the registered vehicle
4. Operator Obligations
As a Fuel Pass IN pump operator, you agree to:
- Verify the QR code or vehicle plate before dispensing fuel
- Only dispense the quantity confirmed by the customer and within the remaining quota
- Not approve dispensing if the QR code is expired, invalid, or the vehicle does not match
- Not share your operator login credentials with any other person
- Report any suspected fraud or system anomalies to your station manager or the system administrator
5. Weekly Quota
Each vehicle is allocated a weekly fuel quota based on its vehicle category, as set by the system administrator. The quota:
- Resets automatically at the beginning of each week (Sunday midnight)
- Cannot be carried over to the following week
- May be adjusted by administrators based on programme policy
- Is enforced at the database level and cannot be overridden by operators
6. QR Pass Rules
- Each QR pass is valid for 5 minutes from the time it was generated
- The app automatically refreshes the QR every 4 minutes
- Expired QR codes will be rejected by the operator app
- QR codes are cryptographically signed and cannot be altered
- Sharing a QR code screenshot is pointless — it will expire before it can be misused
7. Prohibited Activities
The following activities are strictly prohibited and may result in account suspension and legal prosecution:
- Registering fictitious vehicles or using another person's vehicle credentials
- Attempting to reverse-engineer, tamper with, or bypass QR code signatures
- Using automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the Fuel Pass IN API
- Attempting to exceed the weekly quota through multiple accounts or vehicles
- Bribing or colluding with operators to dispense fuel beyond the allowed quota
- Interfering with the technical operation of the Fuel Pass IN system
8. Account Suspension
Fuel Pass IN administrators reserve the right to suspend or permanently ban any citizen or operator account that is found to be in violation of these terms. Suspension may occur without prior notice in cases of suspected fraud. Appeals may be submitted to the system administrator.
9. Availability & Accuracy
Fuel Pass IN is provided on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the platform. Quota figures displayed in the app are accurate at the time of the request but may be subject to brief delays due to caching. The system does not guarantee dispensing in cases of network unavailability.
10. Limitation of Liability
Fuel Pass IN and its administrators shall not be liable for:
- Fuel not received due to system downtime or network issues
- Incorrect quota amounts resulting from incorrect vehicle category registration
- Actions taken by pump operators that are inconsistent with the app's instructions
- Loss or damage arising from unauthorised access to your account
11. Changes to Terms
These terms may be updated at any time to reflect changes in the law, programme policy, or platform functionality. Continued use of Fuel Pass IN after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
12. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from the use of Fuel Pass IN shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the applicable state.
13. Contact
For questions about these terms, contact the system administrator via the Fuel Pass IN admin panel at fuelpass.in/admin.
